The machining errors of the switch rail itself and the wear of the switch rail cause poor force distribution between the wheel set and the straight switch rail and stock rail combination. The HYJG-1 Switch Rail and Point Rail Reduction Value Measuring Instrument is a specialized device used to measure the reduction value of the switch rail relative to the stock rail and the reduction value of the point rail relative to the wing rail.
